Darkening my blond eyebrows?

I have VERY blond hair. My eyebrow hair is thin and blond to the point where you can barely see them.

What advice do you have for me? Keep in mind I don't want my eyebrows to stand out because they are a lot darker than my hair. What are the different ways I can darken them just a bit or make them stand out?

Don't ever use hair dye for your head on your eyebrows. If you get dye into your eye, it can cause blindness. Also, you'll likely have irritation and end up with a red rash near your brows...AND dye also leaves a stain on the skin, so you definitely don't want that around your brows.

Since you're a guy, you probably don't want to spend your mornings carefully shading your brows with a pencil (I'm sure your buddies would just LOVE to hear about that).

Go to a hair salon. They do like to make men and women pretty. If you go to a salon and ask them to darken your brows, they can do it. The dye will last quite long. Just go a little bit darker, just so they don't look obvious. A salon will help you pick the color - just explain to them that you are new at this and you don't want really dark eyebrows, you just want them to be a little bit darker (no more than a shade darker). Don't be afraid of going into a salon. If you want, they can also trim your brows and shape them...but if that's not your thing, they can just dye them for you.

You can go get them dyed by a PROFESSIONAL at a salon. If you use hair dye you can go blind.

You could go to the makeup counter and get an eyebrow pencil and use it to shade in your eyebrow area under the hair, they come in colors from blonde to dark brown.

Or you could get a semipermanent haircolor at the beauty supply and darken them so it will stay for a few weeks.

Either way ask the clerk.

Smashbox makes a product called brow tech. It's a wax/powder duo that kind of defines and gives a bit of color to the brows. Basically, you get a brow brush and use the wax to shape the brows and the color enhances it and fills in the brow. You can get them in several different shades. Try blonde or taupe.
