Japanese Hair Straighting?

I was considering getting Japanese Hair Straighting. I have short thick, curly, dark hair. I have recently dyed my hair blond and red. The colors are almost completely faded out of my hair, (I died it aleast 3 months ago). Any advice, suggestions or just general info would be great.

its very damaging but very very effective

its quite popular where i am and it really does work your hair will be amazingly straight for at least 3 most. at first your hair may feel a little flat because there isn't any wave at all but after about 2 weeks that goes away.

while its damaging i question wheither its any worse that straightening your hair every day for 3 mos?
