Dyed over my bleached hair?

My hair was blond and i put black in put and it came out quite nice but now im so bored of black and want to bleach over the black with blond is this alright??? i cut some of my hair out and bleached it and it turned out yellow the colour i wanted any tips??

its a risk of damaging your hair BAD. i have the same prob. i dyed my hair black and now im bored with it. i asked a question about how to get it out and yes you could bleach it but it will be damaged and theres a big chance it wont come out all the way. i am growin my hair out to my natural color. and i guess you should do that too. its whats best. i would dye it in about 3 months or so. black is something i regret doing, it will take forever to get out.

if you bleach over the black it'll come out orangy-blonde.

if you dye over the same spot with a different color after it should be fine.

Now was your hair originally naturally blonde before you colored it black? or was it pre-lightened blonde?

if your hair was naturally blonde, sure it's not the best for you hair, going back to blonde, and you say you did a test strand and you WANT YELLOW HAIR?? are you sure about this? i just did a color correction on a girl who has naturally blonde hair, colored it brown (not even black) and bleached it herself, and it turned orange/yellow, but i fixed it and she's a blonde again.

now if your was pre-lightened blonde and you went to black, and now going back to blonde is just murder on your hair. don't do it. maybe get some highlights to break it up a bit and lighten it. but all over blonde and your hair is going to break off...depending on your hair type of course.

Black is one of the hardest dye to get out of hair, the best way would be to let it grow out, but we all know that that takes too long. I have plantium blond hair and I dye my roots every 6-8 weeks. My natural hair is a light brown and it is still hard to get to the color I want, the roots are usually a little tinted orange. If you do it at home I suggest using Feria Bleach Blonding Kit. It costs almost $10 at walmart but it bleaches the best and safest. I would also reccommed going to a salon. That way you are more guarenteed to get it to the color you want, a little pricier but worth it. Hope everything works out for you.
