My hair gets dyed in the sun!!!Why is this happening??

My hair is light brown and when i am outside the sun it makes the top layer of my hair blond-ish why is this happening???

The sun bleaches your hair. The longer you are in the sun the lighter it will get. Many women pay big bucks to get the sun highlights you are getting naturally! If you do not like it then wear a cap or hat in the sun....and of course you should always use sunscreen when exposed to the sun. Good luck and God bless.

Its normal hun! Dont worry! The molecules responsible for color in the hair are rather fragile. Sunlight

breaks them apart and changes their appearance. Photochemically cut into

fragments, the colored molecules lose their color.

Prolonged exposure CAN damage hair, so be sure to use good shampoo and conditioner(preferably SPF of some sort). (when i say prolonged, i mean a loooooong time)

Sun just tends to lighten your hair just as it darkens your skin. It has to do with the pigment in it. To keep it from lightening get a spray SPF for your hair at your local beauty salon.

Well if you will notice..........the sun pretty much will lighten anything if left out a for a period of time-except for you skin of course-but the sun affects everything that its rays come in contact with. I think natural highlights in the hair from the sun is very pretty!!!

ur not the only one mine does it too butt im a brunette and its worse cuz i have my whole head BLONDE but wats worse is that I get black roots

It could be worse,my lil sis's hair turns GREEN when she gets in the pool NO LIE I swear
