Hair dye dilemma?

My hair is currently dyed brown but the colour fades really quickly as my hair is naturally blond, so I want to give up on being brunette and go back to blond altogether. Would I need to have this done at a hairdressers so they can lighten it first before putting on the blond, or should a home kit work?

Hair dye dilemma?

I would go to the hairdressers. It's better to spend the money and have it done right than mess it up and have to spend the money anyways.

Hair dye dilemma?

i would just do it by myself. my cousins a hairdresser and always tells me off for this but i say do ittttttt

Hair dye dilemma?

Hi there I have actually done it before. Went to the hairdresser and prayed that my hair wouldn't fall out. I know this may seem strange but after you have stripped your hair colour rinse for a few weeks with vinegar diluted in water... I know you'll smell a bit like a fish and chip shop, but it really does work miracles...

Hair dye dilemma?

You need to go and have it done professionally. A home kit won't work because tint won't lift tint. The colour will need to be stripped out.

Hair dye dilemma?

If you want to dye it, yes, i would go to a reputable hairdresser.

However, things such as henna can be used at home for blonde or brown (or black or red, hehe) try www.lush.com .

Also - if your hair is lightening naturally, why not just let it grow back to original colour? It may look silly, i dont know, ive never seen it happen - but it sounds like it could save money and chemicals on your hair.

:]

Hair dye dilemma?

actually it probally fades becasue if its a home care kit, then everytime u wash ur hair a little comes out ur best bet is to get a permanet hair color and try not to wash ur hair evryday or at lest not more than 3 time a week if u can or something, plus washing ur hair everyday can cause u to get lice.

Hair dye dilemma?

Dye removal is best done by a GOOD hairdresser. It can be done at home but very risky and can do a lot of damage. There are dye strippers on the market you can try but if the salesperson hasn't ever been trained as a stylest, they can lead you down the wrong path. If you know a good stylest, listen to their advice. The best products, will depend on your hair type. Good luck....

Hair dye dilemma?

Hi

My hair was blonde originally but I dyed it brown. I decided I wanted it light again so I went to the hairdressers and got lots of highlights put in. I wouldn't do it myself.

Hair dye dilemma?

you should just let it go back to its natural color because if you continue to dye it , you will damage it a lot .

Hair dye dilemma?

you should really go 2d hairdressers,a girl i no had her hair dark put blond in her hair and her her started to break so she then had to get her hair cut really short.

Hair dye dilemma?

please do not do it yourself, i was in the exact same position a week ago

like ppl are suggesting i did it myself

it came out awful

it could ruin your hair

i had to go to the hairdressers

so if i were you i wiould just go to the hairdressers believe me it saves you time and money and you know its gonna look better

Hair dye dilemma?

It you leave it alone for a few weeks, it should go lighter and fade out. Then you can dye your hair a blonde colour if you want to or go to the salon. Salon rpices are expensive though.

Hair dye dilemma?

go to the salon that way it's guaranteed to work...
