Help my Hair!?

I had highlights that were very blond. My natural hair color is light brown. So the highlights grew out and I did not want to keep dyeing them so I dyed my hair light brown. It ended up being very dark and red. What happened? And what do I do to get back to light brown. Help!!!

You'll need to strip your hair, like a clean palette. Then you pick your color and your good to go. Don't worry about processing so much though, since your adding color it'll help the texture, but you might want to deep condition your hair while you sleep, it'll be good for it. You can also do a home made hot oil treatment 4 days later. 1 pint hot water( not scolding) mix in 3 tabs of clear olive oil, apply all over hair, wrap with warm towel and rinse out in 20 minutes.

Dark brown hair has red undertones,

so anytime you dye it light, then dye

it back to dark, it'll have a reddish tint

to it. There's no way to avoid it, and

it'd probably be better to go have

someone do it at a salon. The more you

try to get it back to brown, the more

you'll end up damaging your hair.

If i was you...don't keep messing with your own hair...pay to have it done properly at the hairdressers and then if you still not happy it's their fault and they have to put it right....but be clear with them what you want first....Good Luck....!!!

The best thing that I think you should do is to leave it alone and let it grow out. Once it gets long enough cut off the dyed portion of your hair. But if you need your hair back to normal go to a perfessional, or get a wig.
