How often do i have to go back to get my hair recolored?

im getting my hair colored tomorrow, i was wondering how long i have to wait till i have to go back to the hair stylist. my hair grows like a rock. it grows like 1 cm every 5 months or something like that. do i have to wait till my roots show? im planning on getting a really beautiful blond that isnt too yellow and that is kinda white blond but yet its got a little bit of color. then im going to get the bottom of my hair a different color. the bottom is going to be kind of a blondish brownish. and its going to look beautiful! so how long do i have to wait to get that redone? what about touchups

you will probley want to get root touch up every 5 weeks or so, you might want to get a whole color re-done every 8 weeks or so, because the color might begin to fade.
